Introduction
Experienced Musician specializing in Audio and Video Production
CMP Music is my creative outlet to keep my sanity for a full time IT nerd who has worked in IT since I was a teenager. But the thing I love the most is music and the ability to pick up a guitar and watch the world fade away. Song writing is one of my biggest joys in life. From writing a riff or chord progress to crafting words, to putting it all together as a song. Then taking that idea and structure, recording and producing until I have a finished product. Then the fun does not stop there! I need to create a video which includes filming whatever BS I can come up with to make the video not as completely boring as possible then posting and promoting it in internet. It can all be overwhelming and a lot of the time by when I get to the posting and promotion my head is already onto the next project. I also enjoy new audio equipment, guitars and guitar amp sims so I do videos showcasing them also. Will try to do more information video in the future but my original music is my priority.
So with a life long career in Information Technology utilizing a computer for the creation of art was a natural progression. Embracing modern technology while using years of experience with tube amps, analog effects which goes back to recording on 4 track cassette tape. Entering the world of DAWs in 1999 while continuing to work on song writing and guitar skills. An infatuation with modern digital hardware, Logic Pro, Final Cut and hundreds of third party plugins has lead to ever expanding abilities to help create new art. With hopes to produce more and more music, videos, software reviews, demos and anything else I feel there may be an interest in the field of music and video production.
